2011: Andre Vidaller joined the Wildcats in January of 2011 before the start of the season. The Santos, Brazil native compiled an 11-10 singles record and competed in 20 dual matches, the most by any other freshman this season. Vidaller competed in the first tournament of the 2011 season at the National Collegiate Tennis Classic where he advanced to the semifinals of the main draw. In dual match action, he primarily competed in the No. 3 spot where he tallied a 2-5 record, but also competed in the No. 2 (1-1), No. 4 (2-1) and No. 5 (4-1) positions. In Pac-10 action he finished with a 3-3 record. Vidaller competed in the Championships Singles Flight at the Pac-10 Championships, but fell to Emilio Gomez of USC in straight sets. He had a three-single's match winning streak that started against Oregon and ended against UCLA. In doubles action, Vidaller paired primarily with junior Jason Zafiros and together they compiled a 7-5 record. The pair competed in all three positions, No. 1 (2-3), No. 2 (3-1), No. 3 (2-1). The freshman also teamed up with Andres Carrasco (0-2), Mario Urquidi (0-1) and Kieren Thompson (0-3). Vidaller teamed up with senior Geoff Embry in the Championship Doubles Flight at the Pac-10 Championships. The duo fell to Kyle McMorrow and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan of Washington.
