Experience: 2 Years

Office: 520-621-9236

Justin Silverstein is in his second season as an assistant coach with Arizona Wildcat women's golf.

In 2010-11, the Wildcats won two tournaments, earned top-three finishes at eight events and earned a runner-up finish at the final Pac-10 Championships. With a top-eight finish at the NCAA Regional Championships, UA earned a spot at the NCAA Championships in College Station, Texas.

"Justin Silverstein is a great golfer and brings a lot of knowledge and experience to our players," Arizona head coach Laura Ianello said. "I'm excited to have a fellow Wildcat on staff and he's a great fit for our program."

Silverstein is no stranger to Arizona Athletics. He previously spent the 2009-10 season as a volunteer assistant with the UA men's team, helping the squad post four top-five finishes and earn an NCAA West Regional berth.

An Arizona men's golf letterman from 2005-09, he posted a 74.83 career scoring average. His low round as a collegian was a 69, though he was limited to just two career appearances due to a wrist injury.

An accomplished prep golfer, Silverstein helped Torrey Pines High School to a pair of state titles and was a four-time all-conference selection. He also participated in the 2003 United States Amateur Championship in Oakmont, Pa.

Prior to joining the coaching ranks, he was employed by the I.R.I. Golf Group. A native of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., he earned his degree in regional development with a minor in business in May 2009.
