Student Assistant

After a successful tennis career, Danielle Steinberg remains with the Wildcat tennis team in the role of student-assistant. Danielle's goal is to go into college coaching after graduation and her experience with the team this year will be excellent preparation for her new role.

Steinberg said: "My plan for the future is to continue with college tennis coaching. I hope to get a job as an assistant coach for a D1 program and someday become the head coach of one."

Ranked as high as 26 in the NCAA rankings, the Israeli native is sure to inspire current and future team members. Danielle accomplished her success at Arizona through hard work and a commitment to the team. Her love for Arizona is undying and this enthusiasm transfers to her coaching style.

"It is hard for any player to make the jump from playing to entering a working career, but I know it was especially hard for Dani because she loved to compete so much." Head coach Vicky Maes said, "She was a team player, as she always wanted to win for the team the most. I am confident she will be a great coach because she gets it: she understands the sacrifice needed from every student-athlete in order to achieve a greater good."

Steinberg added: "I am excited to start my coaching career and it is even more exciting that I am doing that with this group of individuals. I am looking forward to learning as much as I can from both the coaches and the girls!"
