Hometown: Los Angeles, Calif.
High School/Junior College: Dorsey HS/Lon Morris JC
General: A medical condition limited him to a spectator role last season after coming to Arizona from Lon Morris Junior College... Will be a back-up at the point and two-guard spots this season... Good athlete and solid defender... Coaches feel he can play any of the perimeter positions... Maturity was big drawing card in getting him to the UA... Was a high school buddy of Arizona football wide receiver standout Dennis Northcutt at Dorsey HS... Northcutt aided in the campus visit last spring... Signed with the Cats in mid April of 1999.
1999-00 (Junior): Played in seven games during the early part of the season before a medical condition sidelined him for the remainder of the season... Scored four points, while collecting 11 rebounds and handing out six assists... Played a career high 19 minutes against New Mexico State... Had three steals and two assists against the Aggies... Scored his first collegiate points in Madison Square Garden against Notre Dame in the semis of the Preseason NIT... Last game of the year was against Connecticut in the Great 8.
Junior College: An all-conference and all-region 14 selection at Lon Morris JC last year after averaging 23 points, 5.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game... Shot 41 percent from the three-point line as well... He scored more than 30 points in a game five times and 20 or more 20 times in 1998-99... As a freshman, he shot 51% from outside the three-point arc... Averaged 16. 2 ppg, 5.3 rpg 3.0 apg and 2.2 spg... In two years at Lon Morris JC, he scored 1,108 points... Shooting percentages were down in his second year due in part to the fact that he saw a lot of box-and-one defenses throughout the year and the team lost two of its better players from the previous season.
High School: Attended Dorsey High School in Los Angeles, where he lettered in both basketball and football... Played hoops for head coach Kevin Gibson... As a senior averaged 18.2 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 4.2 apg... Averaged 15.5 ppg and 6.2 rpg as a junior and 10.3 ppg and 4.2 rpg as a sophomore.
