Justin Silverstein

Volunteer Assistant Coach/First Year at Arizona

Alma Mater:
Arizona, 2009

Justin Silverstein joined the Wildcat coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in October 2009.

Silverstein, an Arizona letterman from 2005-09, returns to his alma mater to begin his coaching career. After graduating in May 2009 with a degree in regional development and a minor in business, he was employed by the I.R.I. Golf Group.

"The opportunity to return to the University of Arizona was one I couldn't pass up," said Silverstein. "The ability to learn from Coach LaRose and Coach Barnes certainly made the decision to coach an easy one. I can't think of a better place to begin my coaching career."

A native of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., Silverstein earned four letters for the Cats, while posting a 74.83 career scoring average. His low round as a collegian was a 69, though he was limited to just two career appearances due to a wrist injury.

An accomplished prep golfer, Silverstein helped Torrey Pines High School to a pair of state titles and was a four-time all-conference selection. He also participated in the 2003 United States Amateur Championship in Oakmont, Pa.
