2006-07 Season:

Five time All-American Was the second leg in the 200 free relay that finished 3rd at the NCAA's with a time of 1:16.26 Finished 5th at the NCAA Championships in the 200 Yard Free with a time 1:33.90 Swam the first leg in the 800 Yard Free Relay that took 1st at the NCAA Championships with a time of 6:14.14 Finished 4th at the NCAA's in the 100 yard free with a time of 42.37 Swam the first leg in the 800 yard free relay that finished in 1st at the NCAA's with a NCAA record time of6:14.14.

2005-06 Season:

Joined the Wildcats in the winter of 2006. Was the only freshman qualified to swim at the NCAA Championships for Arizona where he finished 18th in the 200 free (1:36.58) and 32nd in the 100 free (44.17). At the 2006 Pac-10 Championships, swam the third leg of the second-place 400 free relay and anchored the third-place 200 free relay... Also finished 10th in the 100 fly (48.29), 14th in the 100 free (44.39) and 17th in the 50 free (20.48). Placed second in both the 100 free (45.49) and the 200 free (1:39.81) against ASU.


Set the Brazilian age group record in the 800-meter free and also a South American age group record in the 200 free. Won the 100-meter free (50.87) at the Brazilian age group nationals in 2004 and placed second in the 200-meter free (1:52.80).

National/ International Competition:

Competed at the 2006 Pan-Pacific Games for Brazil where he finished sixth in the `B' final of the 100-meter free (50.58).
