At the PING/ASU Invitational she tied for 63rd , shooting 17-over-par 233...Comped on the junior varsity squad in the Mountain View Collegiate where she tied for 34th place with a score of 20-over-par 236...Welch tied for 95th in the Wildcat Invitational, totaling a 48-over-par 261...Tied for 22nd place with fellow Wildcat Laura Myerscough at the Mason Rudolph Championships... Shot 229 (+13) in the 54-hole tournament in Nashville, Tenn.... Opened her collegiate career with a tie for 28th place in the NCAA Fall Preview where she shot 12-over-par 228...

Junior Golf: Named three times to the American Junior Golf Association's All-American team... Won two AJGA events in her junior career... Runner-up at the 2001 USGA Girls' Junior Championship... Reached the quarterfinals of the match play portion of the 2001 AJGA Polo Golf Junior Classic... Took 11th place at the 2002 AJGA Thunderbirds Invitational... Set an AJGA tournament scoring record at the 2000 Arizona Junior Classic with her six-under-par performance... Finished third at the 2002 AJGA Mission Hills tournament...
