About Phakisha: Her playing status for the 2003-04 season is questionable after discovery of a stress fracture over the summer... Coach Bonvicini says: "Phakisha is a great athlete whom we expect great things from. We saw Phakisha go through a typical freshman year last season, where she had up moments and down moments. She's a three-point shooter, she's a slasher. She's fast in the open court, where she can take the ball off the dribble and make that move to the basket. She is improving her ball-handling and is working on consistency in being able to put it on the floor, hard through the lane, and knowing when she can get to the glass and when she has to settle for that pull-up jumper. She rebounds well on the defensive end and is able to get in there on the offensive end too. Defensively, she's got the speed and quickness to play big or small and has the ability to shut people down. She has very quick hands and got some picks last year"...
