Most memorable moment: Since I have been a part of this team was at the 2008 NCAA Championships, where we won our first National Team title. It was an amazing and long awaited accomplishment and I am blessed to have been able to be a part of something so special.

Why Arizona?: I didn't even want to take my recruiting trip down to Arizona my senior year in high school because I was so set on going to another university, but once I stepped off the plane in Tucson I was in a whole new world. I eventually ended up committing on my trip and found myself here a year later, and I never once looked back or questioned my reasons for coming here. Everything from the coaches to my teammates, men's and women's teams, create this unique bond that I can guarantee you will never find anywhere else.

Improvements at Arizona: I haven't just learned a lot about my swimming, but I have learned a lot about myself and have seen myself grow over the past three years. I believe that I have gotten better here at Arizona over the past three years for a few reasons, and it definitely all starts with the coaches. Coach Busch tells us that by the end of our careers, whether that is in 4 years or 40, you will learn to be your own best coach. I am constantly learning about myself and my stroke, what works and what doesn't, and I am always pushing myself to be the best I can be. Every single one of us wants to succeed and see the person in the lane next to us succeed to our fullest potential, so we push each other in and out of the pool day in and day out, while still maintaining this family atmosphere and that, that is something really special.

Favorite Book: Eat. Pray. Love. I read it over this past summer and it is a journey of a woman who travels to 3 countries to figure out what it is she needed to do in life to be successful, happy, and loved. It's the little things in life that paint the big picture in the end.

What's on your ipod?: A little bit of everything. I like to have music for everything I do whether it's running, homework, or bringing back memories.

Favorite Animal: My dog Austin. He's a labradoodle (lab and poodle) and he is basically my only sibling. He is a big baby, but full of love and gets a lot of attention from the family. He took over my roll of only child when I went to college.

Favorite Season: Fall, especially in Chicago. The changing of the leaves and that distinct smell of the season is something I miss being in a place where it is either hot or cool.

Philosophy on Life: Take life as is comes at you, one day at a time. You can't predict the future so enjoy every moment you're in and make the most of your experiences!

If you could choose any location in the world to swim, where would it be?: Tucson. I don't know who wouldn't want to train in a place like this. We are outside all year and have one of the best facilities for training. We are under world-class coaching and get to train with some of the best athletes in the world, our own teammates. We go to a great school and have a competitive, winning tradition in all of our sports. McKale brings all of together everyday to share our passion for what we do and that makes us all a little better. We are the definition of team.
