TUCSON - University of Arizona football will play a home-and-home series with the University of Houston during the 2017 and 2018 seasons, the programs jointly announced on Tuesday.

The Wildcats and the Cougars will meet the second week of each season in Tucson in 2017 and in Houston in 2018. The 2017 campaign will mark the first meeting between the two teams since 1986.

The two squads first met on Oct. 11, 1969 when the Cougars defeated the Wildcats, 34-17, in Tucson. UA evened the series with a 37-3 win on its home field on Sept. 6, 1986. The 2018 season will mark Arizona's first trip to play at Houston's John O'Quinn Field at Robertson Stadium.

Tickets for the 2013 football season are available and can be purchased by visiting the McKale Center Ticket Office, calling 520-621-CATS or by visiting ArizonaWildcats.com. For continued coverage of Arizona football, follow the team on Twitter @ArizonaFBall and visit ArizonaWildcats.com.
