Demus earned the silver medal in the event while Brown finished in sixth place, right behind Moline.
Moline has had great success at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field. The last time she competed there, Moline earned a silver medal at the U.S. Olympic Trials and punched her ticket to London for the Olympics. She clocked a then-personal-best time of 54.33. Prior to the Trials, Moline competed at the 2012 Pac-12 Championships and earned individual titles in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.12 and the 4x400-meter relay. It was the fist time in school history that Arizona claimed a conference championship in the women’s 4x400-meter relay.
Moline will be joined by the rest of the track and field program in Eugene for the finals of the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Championships. That meet will begin on Wednesday, June 5 and end on Saturday, June 8. Senior Brigetta Barrett, who competed in the women’s high jump at the 2012 Prefontaine Classic, will do more than just compete at the NCAA Championships. She will sing the “Star Spangled Banner” on Friday, June 7, the day before she competes in the high jump. Barrett also sang the national anthem at Hayward Field for the 2012 Pac-12 Championships.
