TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona women’s golf completed round two at the Dale McNamara Fall Preview in Tulsa, Okla. on Tuesday Also host to the 2014 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships, the Fall Preview is being played at Tulsa Country Club (par 70, 61,36 yards).
Duke has moved into the lead in the team race. The Blue Devils hold a two-round score of 569 (+9). The Oklahoma Sooners are in second place with a 570 (+10). The Oklahoma State Cowgirls round out the top three with a carding of 571 (+11). Arizona sits in sixth place with scores of 283 and 292 for a two-day total of 575 (+15).
Laetitia Beck (Duke), Noemi Jimenez (Arizona State), Kyung Kim (USC) and Emily Penttila (Tulane) share a four-way tie for the lead in the individual race with two-round scores of 138 (-2).
Junior Kendall Prince continues to lead the Cats. She sits in a four-way tie for seventh after carding scores of 69 and 71 for a total of 140 (E). Junior Andrea Vilarasau shot a 73 on day two and sits in a three-way tie for 12th place with a combined score of 142 (+2).
Sophomore Lindsey Weaver has collected rounds of 74 and 72 for a score of 146 (+6) and sits in a seven-way tie for 32nd place. Freshman Jessica Vasilic shares a six-way tie for 39th place. She has carded scores of 71 and 76 for a two-day score of 147 (+7). Junior Shelby Martinek rounds out the Arizona five in an eight-way tie for 57th. Her rounds of 74 and 77 total 151 (+11).
Round three in Tulsa will begin at 8 a.m. CT on Wednesday. The Cats will tee at 8:45 a.m. CT and are paired with Alabama and USC.
