TUCSON, Ariz. University of Arizona women’s golf head coach Laura Ianello has announced the addition of LPGA pro Sara Brown to the program’s coaching staff as a volunteer assistant.

Brown played on the Symetra Tour and served as an on-course reporter for GolfWRX.com, the world’s largest online golf community. She is best known as a two-time contestant on the Golf Channel’s Big Break (Sandals Resorts and Dominican Republic).

She played on the LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour events in 2011. In 2012, Brown competed on the Symetra Tour, and won her first professional tournament, The My Marsh Classic in Fishers, Ind., with rounds of 75-67-69.

Brown’s best tournament finish in 2011 was 12th in Dubai alongside Michelle Wie in December 2011, and recently, she earned her first win on the LPGA Symetra Tour in Fishers, Ind.

A Tucson native, Brown earned her tour card on Dec. 12, 2010. Brown played collegiately at Michigan State where she was a three-time All-Big Ten selection and a two-time MSU Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
