TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona junior running back Ka’Deem Carey has been named a College Football Performance Awards Honorable Mention All-Purpose Performer of the Week.
The Tucson native ran for 132 yards on 30 carries with one touchdown in Arizona’s 31-13 loss at Washington on Saturday. He also caught four passes for 49 yards. On the season, Carey totals 431 yards on 73 carries for five scores. He averages 5.9 yards per carry and 143.7 yards per game. In the air, he’s caught six passes for 82 yards. He averages 171 all-purpose yards per game for a season total of 513.
Carey ranks No. 3 nationally in yards per game with 143.7. His 30 carries on Saturday were a career game-high and he ran over 100 yards for the seventh-straight game and the 13th game of his career.
The Wildcats will play at USC on Oct. 10 for a 7:30 pm MST kickoff. The game will be televised by Fox Sports 1.
