     Blevins was named 6th District All- American by Look and Collier magazines in 1950, as well as earning UPI All- Pacific Coast second- team honors. Blevins, the team captain for the 1949-50 season, was the first U of A player to score more than 400 points in a season. His 462 points stood as the Arizona scoring record for 10 seasons. During Blevins’ two seasons, the Wildcats won their fourth and fifth consecutive Border Conference titles. The 1949-50 team was ranked 15th nationally at the end of the season. Blevins played a year in the NBA with the Indianapolis Olympians.
