Two-time All-American in track and field. Was co-holder of European indoor 60-yard dash record and held German National record in the 60-yard dash. Captain of the 1962 UA track team and high-point scorer for three consecutive years. Was on American record setting 440-yard and sprint medley relays. Placed second in the NCAA 100-yard dash in 1961 and was third in the same event in 1962. Twice Border Conference Champion in the 100- and 220- yard dashes and held conference records in both events. Was Canadian National AAU champion as a member of the 440- yard relay team and sprint relay team. First UA sprinter on the American National team (1965 and 1968) and first UA sprinter in the Olympic Trials. Member of Letterman's Club.
