One of UA's greatest all- time offensive threats, as team captain helped lead Arizona to the 1986 NCAA Championship with a .340 batting average, earning All America mention. First on Arizona's all- time career list in games played, at bats, hits, total bases, and sacrifice flies; second in runs scored, triples, and sacrifice bunts; third in walks and in top ten in almost all other catergories. Also first in assits for a season. In 1987 hit .383 to lead team, was team most valuable player and All Six Pac, and won the Pac 10 Medal as UA's outstanding male student- athlete. Following senior season signed professionally with the Minnesota Twins.
