Captained the football and track teams in 1930. tied for first in UA's all-time record book with 13 punts in a game and ranks first in the longest punt category (84 yards vs Rice, 1930); ranks third on the all-time list for most rushing yards in a game (217) and is tied for fifth in most rushing yards in a single play (81). It is likely that he was the first UA player to rush for 1000 yards in a seaon (1930). Tied 15-year UA record in 100 yard dash (10.0 flat) and set a new UA record in discus. After leaving the UA, he played professional football for the San Francisco Olympic Club.
