Derek Huff HOF      The finest decathlete in Arizona track and field history. Following transfer to UA from Western Illinois in 1987, won the 1988 Pac- 10 Decathlon championship and was NCAA runner-up, earning All-America honors. In 1989 repeated as Pac-10 champion and won the NCAA Championship, again earning All-America honors, was named Pac-10 Male Track and Field Athlete of the Year and won the Pac-10 Medal as UA's Outstanding Male Student- Athlete. Golden Eagle Acedemic Award winner. Member of U.S. team in 1989 Goodwill Games, and finished fifth in 1988 and 1992 U.S. Olympic Trails.
