     Versatile pitcher/hitter who overcame serious shoulder injury to lead Arizona to its first NCAA baseball title in 1976, and was named All-Western Athletic Conference, All- Region, College World Series All-Tournament and College World Series Most Valuable Player. Pitched victory over ASU  in NCAA semi-final and drove in go-ahead runs in final victory. Named All-America and All-Wac in 1975. Career pitching records of 27 wins and 2.14 ERA rank eighth and sixth respectively on UA all-time lists. Selected for three U.S. national teams, including Pan American Games team. Following senior season was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
