Four-year basketball letterman and captain of the 1923 and 1924 teams. Scored 612 points in 1922-23 and 1923-24 for a 16.5 game average. Average 17.4 in 1923-24, setting a UA record for a quarter-century and second best until 1960. During senior year, scored 35 points against New Mexico Tech. Led team to a 43-8 overall record (scoring 44.7% of team's points in 1922-23 and 1923-24) and 8-4 record against UCLA and USC combined. Lettered in tennis, served as UA alumni association president (1934-35) and was leader of the Towncats athletic support group.
