Only player in U of A "Top Ten" in both offensive and defensive categories (rushing, all-purpose yards, total yards, pass interceptions, and punt returns). Established a modern U of A record for rushing with 799 yards in 1950. Was All America, All Border Conference, team captain and MVP in 1950, averaging 50 minutes per game. His 3,698 career all-purpose yards, 1950 82- yard run from scrimmage (vs. ASU), and 1949 punt-return average of 16.9 were all U of A records. Still in U of A Top Five in "All Yardage" (rushing, passing, receiving, kickoff, punt-return, and interception yardage). Was selected by the Arizona Daily Star as one of the top ten backs in the first 50 years of Arizona football. Drafted by the NFL Detroit Lions.
