Arizona women’s basketball will close its non-conference season to host Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. at McKale Center.
The Wildcats took a brief holiday hiatus after winning two straight-games over Texas Tech and UC Riverside.
In the contests, Arizona scored an average of 71 points, outrebounded both opponents and outscored both opponents in the paint. Seven players scored in double digits.
Arkansas Pine-Bluff is coming off an eight-game losing streak after starting its season off with a win over Philander Smith College.
The Golden Lions are led by sophomore Cassidy Wright at 9.3 ppg and junior Carlisha Walker at 5.6 rpg.
Arizona holds a 2-0 edge in the all-time series, including a 1-0 mark at home.
The two teams last met in December of 2011, where the Wildcats defeated the Golden Lions, 67-37 in Pine Bluff.
UA will close the non-conference season before heading to Seattle, Wash. to open its conference season.
