Jennifer Atteberry-Pierpont earned her Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences Education degree from the University of Arizona.
Upon graduation, she turned around and went back to her high school alma mater, and she has been there ever since.
Ms. Atteberry-Pierpont is director of the Canyon del Oro (CDO) Preschool. The preschool has flourished under her leadership. Enrollment numbers are up, and there is a long waiting list of little learners. The CDO Preschool is one of only five in the state that has earned a perfect Five Star Rating on the Quality First Rating Scale.
Jennifer teaches four levels of Early Childhood Education and she oversees all aspects of operating the preschool as a self-supporting business. She is the Chairperson of the Career and Technical Education Department (CTE) at Canyon del Oro High School. She provides her students with real-life experiences and encourages them to take their interest in early child development all the way to the top! Ms. Atteberry-Pierpont is advisor for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). She provides guidance, instruction and encouragement to students as they prepare for and compete at FCCLA competitions.
While student teaching, Jennifer realized she was exactly where she wanted to be. “I found my home in education.”
