Dana Burkholder was one of the most decorates players in school history. Along with being named the first Honda Sport Award nominee for Wildcat volleyball, she was also the only player ever to be names a two-time All-American and a three-time All-Region player. Dana was also a three-time All-Pac-10 Conference honoree and Arizona's only Pac-10 Player of the Year-she won the award in 2000. When she finished her career at Arizona, Dana was the all-time leader in assists and assists per game and was second all time in the conference in total assists. At the time of her induction, Dana was still Arizona's career leader in assists. Dana led the Wildcats to four consecutive NCAA tournament appearances, including three Sweet 16s, two Elite Eights and the school's only Final Four appearance in 2001.
