Lorraine Costanzo HOF
     One of the most outstanding shot-putters and discus throwers in UofA track and field history. In 1985 she finished second in the shot-put at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, earning All-American honors for each. She was also selected WCAA athlete of the week in 1985. In 1985 Lorraine was selected National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American. She won three World Power lifting Championships (1986, 1987, 1988) and still holds several weightlifting records. She established four world records in the 198-pound plus weight class. She was the first woman in the world to squat over 600 pounds.
