Trina Jackson had already accomplished a number of goals when she entered The University of Arizona her freshman year. She not only had represented the United States in an Olympic competition, but she had won a gold medal. Trina was a member of the record setting 1996 800 year freestyle relay team that became only the second team in all of swimming history to ever record a 800 free relay time under eight minutes. Trina was also named by Swimming World Magazine as the High School Swimmer of the Year her senior season in Jacksonville, Florida. Adding to her extensive list of accolades, she was also a silver medalist at the World Swimming Championships. In her four years as a Wildcat, Trina was a 15-time All-American selection. She took home the NCAA title in the 1650 freestyle in both 1997 and 1998, and she was a three time Pac-10 champion. Trina was also a member of the NCAA Championship 800 freestyle relay team in both 1998 and 2000.
