Sarah Tolar HOF
High expectations were placed on Sarah Tolar upon her arrival at the U of A in the fall of 1998. She joined an Arizona swim team that was loaded with talent and she made an immediate impact as a freshman-swimming the anchor leg of the national championship 400 meter freestyle relay. Sarah was an NCAA champion in the 200 freestyle in 2001 as a junior and defended her title in 2002 as a senior. Sarah would leave Arizona as a 24 time All-American and a five time national champion. On a national level, Sarah represented the US in the 2001 World University Games in Beijing as well as the 1999 Pan Pacific Championships in Sydney. Sarah was also an Olympic Trials Participant in 1996 and an Olympic Finalist in 2000, in addition to being a first alternate to the 2000 US Olympic Team. At the time of her induction, Sarah still held the Arizona record in the  200 yard freestyle and was in the Top-10 in the 200 and 400 yard individual medley events.
