Arizona women’s basketball will host No. 11 Arizona State on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. The game will kick off a basketball double-header, as the men’s team will take on Oregon State on 5 p.m.
The first 600 students at the game will receive a wristband that will secure a seat for both games. The game will also feature Arizona’s Bear Down games.
Junior Candice Warthen leads the Wildcats with 11.6 points per game. Seniors Kama Griffitts and Erica Barnes average 10.1 and 9.1 ppg, respectively, while freshman LaBrittney Jones leads Arizona with 6.0 rebounds per game.
Five of the seven available players on the UA roster appear in seven different categories in the top-10 of the Pac-12 rankings. Jones is fifth in blocked shots with 1.2 per game, senior Carissa Crutchfield is sixth in assist to turnover ratio (76 assists to 42 turnovers) and eighth in assists per game with 3.5, Barnes is eighth in field goal percentage (.488), Griffitts is ninth in three-pointers made (40) and three-point field goal percentage (.388) and Warthen is 10th in minutes played with 32.6 mpg.
The Wildcats fell at ASU, 60-36 on Tuesday night in Tempe.
