Was a letterwinner during undergraduate years at Arizona, 1944-1948. Began her career as an athletic administrator at the UA in 1959 as Director of Women's Recreation Association. Was named the UA's first Director of Athletics for women in 1972 and became Associate Athletic Director for men's and women's sports programs in 1982. Held ranl of full professor in Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences. Led UA Women's Athletics into the Intermouuntain, WCAA, Pac-West, and Pac-10 Conferences. Was a member of the Pacific-10 Conference Council from 1986 through her retirement, vice president of the Pac-10 Council in 1987-88, and a member oc the Compliance Committee from 1987-89. Was a founder of the council Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators and a member from 1979-89. Was vice president of AIAW from 1976-78 and chair of the AIAW Committee on Men's Athletics from 1977-80. Served on the NCAA Professional Sports Liaison committee from 1981-87, and chaired the NCAA women's Committee on Committees in 1984-85. First woman selected to serve on the NACDA and US Sports Academy executive boards. Is a member of the Golden Key and the UA Mortar Board Hall of Fame.
