1993 Softball NCAA Championship Team
The Wildcats won their Second NCAA Championship in three years at their sixth consecutive College World Series appearance under head coach Mike Candrea. The Wildcats finished the season with a 44-8 record, placing second in the Pacific -10 and winning the Region 3 NCAA title. Five players from the 1993 earned All-America honors, more than any other team in the nation. Five Wildcats were selected to the All-College World Series Team and seven players received All-Pacific -10 honor, the most from any one team in the league. Five players were named to the All-Pacific Region team. 1993 also marked the opening of the Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Softball Stadium, considered the finest on-campus Softball Stadium in the Country.
