2000 Women's Golf
The Arizona team of Jenna Daniels, Jill Gormic, Christina Baena, Christina Monteiro, and Julia Kraschinski cruised to a 21-shot victory over Stanford at Sun River, Oregon, and brought home Arizona's second national championship in the program's history. It was the 1999-2000 Wildcats' eighth consecutive tournament win and ninth overall. The Wildcats' four round NCAA Championship Tournament total was the third largest victory margin in the tournament's 19-year history. Individually, each member of the Arizona NCAA title team finished the year ranked among the nation's top 30. Senior Jenna Daniels won the individual NCAA title and finished the year as the nation's number one collegiate golfer. Daniels also captured the Pacific-10 Conference Women's Golfer of the Year and was named the Rolex Golfer of the Month three times during the season. Julia Kraschinski, competing in her first national championship, placed second in the tournament giving teh Wildcats the sweep. Christina Baena, Jill Gomric and Christina Monteiro all finished the 2000 season nationally ranked.
