Game Storylines
» Third-ranked Arizona will look for a split of the season series with California when it hosts the Golden Bears on Wednesday at McKale Center; a win would be the 106th for UA in the last four years, tied for the fourth-most in program history.

» The Wildcats are 72-11 (.867) overall and 36-7 (.837) in Pac-12 games at McKale Center under head coach Sean Miller; UA heads into Wednesday’s game in the midst of a 19-game home winning streak.

» Since the start of the 2012-13 season, Arizona has spent 30 weeks ranked in the top 10 of the AP poll; the Wildcats had a program-record run of eight-straight weeks as the poll’s top-ranked team earlier this season.

» Now in his fifth season in Tucson, Miller continues to honor a process that has seen him lead UA to a Pac-12-best 105-30 (.778) record since the start of the 2010-11 campaign; the Wildcats have a Pac-12-best three 25-win seasons since Miller took over in Tucson.

» Having forged its identity on defense throughout the season, Arizona is ranked fifth nationally in field goal percentage defense (37.9) and scoring defense (57.9); the Wildcats lead the nation in effective defensive efficiency, allowing just 86.8 points per 100 possessions.

» Arizona’s interior defense has been stellar, limiting opponents to 40.8 percent shooting inside the arc to rank third nationally in two-point field goal percentage defense; UA ranks 20th nationally at just 16.5 fouls per game.

» UA employs a balanced offensive attack, having had at least four double-figure scorers in 17 of its 27 games; the Wildcats have gotten double-doubles from five different players this season, tied for the most in the Pac-12.

» Paced by T.J. McConnell’s league-leading 2.94 assist-to-turnover ratio, Arizona ranks 23rd nationally with a 1.41 ATR on the season; UA’s assist-to-turnover ratio and turnover average (10.7) would be the best in the Miller Era.

» Arizona has won the rebounding battle in 22 of its 27 games this season and ranks fifth nationally with a +8.9 rebound margin; UA is one of only three teams nationally to rank in the top 20 in both offensive (.383) and defensive (.737) rebound percentage.

» Arizona has four players averaging at least 1.9 offensive rebounds per game as UA outscores its opponents by an average of 5.5 second-chance points; UA is outrebounding teams 13.2-9.0 on the offensive glass in its last five games.

» Miller’s biggest Arizona team has been lethal in the paint at +12.3 points per game in the paint on average; UA is averaging just 14.4 three-point attempts per game after averaging more than 20 per game a year ago.
