Jenna Karadbil came to the U of A in the fall of 1991 as the lone freshman. The Arizona gymnastics team was coming off a successful season but Jenna had big shoes to fill with the departure of future Hall-of-Famer Diane Monty. She filled them nicely. Originally, she was reserved and quiet as she felt her way into this new environment, 3000 miles from home. But once competition started, Jenna's intensity and competitive fire quickly became apparent. She didnt have a single fall on beam that entire season and was the anchor on an event that can make or break a season. She was Pac-10 Conference Gymnast of the week, 1st Team All-Conference and a two time All-American that first year and never looked back. During her career here at the U of A, she was named All-Conference 3 times, All-American 3 times, Scholastic All-America, Academic All-Conference twice and was a member of the National Honor Society.
