As a freshman she burst onto the track and field scene in 1990 by taking the Pac-10 high jump title. That performance followed on the heels of a second-place finish in the high jump at the 1990 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. At the time of her induction this six-time All-American still held the Arizona indoor high jump record of 6-3 1/2, and her career-best outdoor leap of 6-4 1/2 was tied as the third best jump in school history. She had second-place finishes at the 1991 NCAA Indoor Championships, the 1992 Pac- 10 Championships, the 1992 NCAA Outdoor Championships, and the 1993 Pac-10 Championships, before winning the 1983 NCAA Indoor Championships with her record-setting jump. She had a thrid place finish at the 1983 NCAA Outdoor meet, was the 1994 Mountain-Pacific Sports Federation High Jump Champion and finsihed second at the 1994 NCAA Indoor Championships.
