TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 11 Arizona women’s golf wrapped up play at the Bruin Wave Invitational on Tuesday and earned a fourth-place team finish. The three-round, two-day event was held at El Caballero Country Club (par 72, 6,173 yards) in Tarzana, Calif.
No. 1 USC won the team event with a score of 863 (-1). No. 17 Pepperdine earned a runner-up finish with an 876 (+12). No. 2 UCLA rounded out the top three with an 886 (+22). No. 11 Arizona finished fourth with an 899 (+35). The Wildcats collected rounds of 299, 295 and 305. No. 6 Kyung Kim of USC won the individual title with a 213 (-3).
No. 26 sophomore Lindsey Weaver was Arizona’s top finisher in a tie for eighth place. Weaver collected her third top-10 finish of the season and her seventh round at or below par. She had scores of 73, 71 and 74 for a score of 218 (+2). No. 96 sophomore Kendall Prince finished tied for 23rd with a 228 (+12). She carded rounds of 74, 77 and 77.
No. 22 freshman Wanasa Zhou shared a three-way tie for 26th place with her score of 229 (+13). She shot rounds of 72, 82 and 75. No. 93 freshman Jessica Vasilic finished tied for 35th. Her rounds of 80, 73 and 79 totaled 232 (+16). No. 84 junior Andrea Vilarasau rounded out the Arizona five in a three-way tie for 42nd place. She carded rounds of 81, 74 and 79 for a score of 234 (+18).
