TUCSON, Ariz. No. 10 Arizona women’s golf moved up to seventh place after the second round of play at the NCAA Central Regional Championships on Friday. The three-round, three-day event is being hosted by Oklahoma State at Karsten Creek Golf Course (par 72, 6,200 yards) in Stillwater, Okla. One round of play is being contested each day with 5:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. MST/PT tee times daily.

No. 3 UCLA took over the team lead after round two with a 289 (+1) on Friday for a combined score of 588 (+12). No. 35 California sits in second place with a 589 (+13). No. 21 Florida and No. 9 Alabama share third place with scores of 592 (+16). No. 10 Arizona sits in seventh place with rounds of 306 and 289 for a score of 595 (+19). Wad Phaewchimplee of No. 39 Kent State continues to lead the individual race with a score of 138 (-6).

Junior Manon Gidali surged to the top 10 with a second round of 70 (-2). She sits in a three-way tie for seventh with a score of 144 (E). No. 11 sophomore Lindsey Weaver sits in an eight-way tie for 20th place. She carded a 73 (+1) on Friday for a two-day score of 147 (+3).

Junior Kendall Prince moved up to tied for 36th place with a carding of 73 (+1) on Friday for a combined score of 150 (+6). No. 37 freshman Wanasa Zhou moved to tied for 65th with a round of 73 (+1) for a combined score of 154 (+10). No. 84 Jessica Vasilic rounds out the Arizona five in 105th place. She holds a score of 163 (+19) with rounds of 82 and 81.

Round three begins at 5:30 a.m. MST/PT on Saturday. No. 10 Arizona is paired with No. 16 Oklahoma State and No. 33 Mississippi State.
