TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona Wildcat women’s soccer program and first year head coach Tony Amato have announced the competition schedule for the 2013 season. The team will compete in a total of 20 matches, 10 of which will be played at Murphey Field at Mulcahy Stadium in Tucson, Ariz.
The Arizona women’s soccer team will compete in the Sun Devil Classic Sept. 6-8 against non-conference schools Kansas University and University of Illinois. Both matches will be at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium in Tempe, Ariz. The fall schedulewill also include the Wildcats hosting the Arizona Cats Classic tournament with matches against Southern Utah and Texas Tech, Sept. 13-15.
Along with Pac-12 play, the Wildcats will compete against nine non-conference universities including Southern Utah, Texas Tech, Florida International University, Florida Atlantic University, University of California Riverside, Ohio State University, Kansas University, University of Illinois and the University of Hawaii.
During the 2013 schedule, Arizona will have a total of seven games televised on the Pac-12 Networks. On Sept. 29, the Wildcats first contest to air on the Pac-12 Networks will begin at 2:00 p.m. in a matchup against UCLA. Away games that will be televised are matches against Stanford on Oct. 4 at 4:00 p.m., Oregon State on Oct.11 at 3:00 p.m., and USC on Oct.18 at 3:00 p.m.
