Tucson, Ariz. – The University of Arizona Wildcat track and field program had two former athletes earn medals at the Pan American Sports Festival in Mexico City, Mexico at Jesus “Palillo” Martinez Stadium on Saturday morning. In the men’s high jump competition, Nick Ross won while Edgar Rivera-Morales took third place.
Ross, competing for Team USA earned a first-place finish with a clearance of 7-5 (2.26m), his best clearance as a professional athlete. Fellow alumnus and training partner of Ross for the last five years, Rivera-Morales took third place with a clearance of 7-3.75 (2.23m).
