Game 1: Oregon State 11, Arizona 2 (Final)
» Recap » Box Score

Paced by Ben Wetzler’s dominant pitching and Dylan Davis’ five runs batted in, the seventh-ranked Oregon State baseball team cruised to a series-opening victory as it defeated host Arizona, 11-2, Friday evening at Hi Corbett Field. Wetzler (W, 5-0) remained perfect on the season as he shut out the Wildcats over 7.1 innings. The veteran lefty allowed just two hits, but did walk four while striking out five. Oregon State gave Wetzler just about all the run support he needed with a two-run first inning off Wildcat starter James Farris. Farris (L, 4-2) suffered just his second loss of the season in 7.1 innings on the mound. He was charged for seven earned runs and surrendered 13 hits, while striking out six and walking a pair – both intentional.

Game 2: Arizona 11, Oregon State 2 (Final)
» Recap » Box Score

Trent Gilbert led a 17-hit offensive attack, and Cody Hamlin pitched into the ninth inning to lead the University of Arizona baseball team to an upset victory, 11-2, over seventh-ranked Oregon State to even up the three-game Pac-12 series on Saturday at Hi Corbett Field.  Arizona claimed an early lead and never looked back, providing plenty of run support for Hamlin, who turned away the Beavers on several occasions and narrowly missed on his bid for a complete game. Arizona’s lineup included six starters with multiple hit games, highlighted by the top four in the lineup. Kingery and Maggi each had two hits at the top of the order ahead of Newman and Gilbert, who each had three hits. Gibbons added a 3-for-4 game with two runs scored out of the No. 7 spot, and Moore collected two hits and drove a pair of runs batting in the No. 9 position. The win snapped an eight-game losing streak for the Wildcats, who had dropped six consecutive Pac-12 Conference games.

Probable Starters
