TUCSON, Ariz. Nearly three weeks after defeating Arizona State in the regular season finale, the Arizona swimming and diving team returns to competition for the Pac-12 Championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.

The women’s swim meet along with both the men’s and women’s diving competition will kick off on Wednesday and conclude on Saturday. The women’s meet will air on the Pac-12 Networks on March 3 at 9 p.m. PT, while the men’s swim meet will air on March 10 at 7:30 p.m. PT.

Tickets will be available at Weyerhaeuser (650 Southwest Campus Drive, Federal Way, WA 98003) on the day of the event only. Gates open at 10 a.m. each day. All-session passes are $40 for adults and $20 for students, children and seniors. One day passes are $15 for adults and $10 for students, children and seniors.

Wednesday’s opening day of competition will get underway at 6 p.m. (PT) with the 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay.

Last season, the men and women both finished fourth at the Pac-12 Championships. The two teams combined for eight first-place event finishes.

The Arizona women enter the event ranked No. 10 in the most recent CollegeSwimming.com/CSCAA Coaches poll, while the men are ranked No. 12. The women are joined by four other Pac-12 squads in the top-25 including No. 1 Cal, the men feature four schools from the league in the national poll.

The Arizona women are led by senior Margo Geer and sophomore Bonnie Brandon. Geer, the 2013 NCAA champion in the 50 free and 100 free, went a perfect 11-of-11 in events in November while owning the 6th fastest time in the country this year in the 50 free (21.78). Brandon highlighted her second year of collegiate swimming by shattering her own school record in the 200 back with a time of 1:50.70.

On the men’s side, Kevin Cordes leads the way by owning the nation’s top time in both the 100 and 200 breast. Meanwhile, junior Giles Smith holds the top spot in the 100 fly and Mitchell Friedemann has the fastest time in the 100 back. In addition, the Wildcats own the top time nationally in the 400 medley relay.
