With the start of the 2013-14 NBA regular season roughly a week away, nine former Arizona standouts are currently representing UA on league rosters.

Andre Iguodala signed a four-year, $48 million deal with Golden State Warriors this summer after averaging 13.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game with the Denver Nuggets in 2012-13. The 2012 Olympic gold medal winner was a 2012 NBA All-Star and was a second-team NBA All-Defensive selection in 2011. He owns averages of 15.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game in nine NBA seasons.

Part of a massive overhaul in Brooklyn, Jason Terry is in his first season with the Nets after a trade sent him to the franchise along with fellow former Celtics Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. Terry, who won the 2011 NBA championship as a member of the Dallas Mavericks, averaged 10.1 points and shot 37.1 percent from long distance last season for Boston, and is a career 37.9 percent shooter from three-point range. He is entering his 15th NBA season with averages of 15.7 points and 4.5 assists per game.

Channing Frye is back with the Phoenix Suns after a heart condition kept him off the court in 2012-13, and is set to begin his eighth season in the NBA. Frye averaged 10.5 points and 5.9 rebounds for the Suns two years ago, and heads into his fourth season in Phoenix with career averages of 9.7 points and 5.2 rebounds.

Jerryd Bayless is set to begin his second season with Memphis Grizzlies after helping lead the franchise to the 2013 Western Conference Finals. Bayless averaged 8.7 points and 3.3 assists per game last season, and has career averages of 8.3 points and 2.9 assists in five seasons in the league.

Entering their second season as teammates in Minnesota, Chase Budinger and Derrick Williams will look to lead the Timberwolves to the playoffs for the first time since 2004. Budinger, who signed a three-year deal for $16 million this summer, has averaged 9.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in his four-year NBA career. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, Williams averaged 12.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last season in his first year as a regular starter.

Part of the sign-and-trade deal that sent Iguodala to Golden State, Richard Jefferson is in his first season with the Utah Jazz and his 13th year in the league. He owns career averages of 15.0 points and 4.7 rebounds for four different franchises since being drafted 13th overall in 2001.

Jordan Hill will open his second full season with the Lakers next week after averaging career highs of 6.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 2012-13. The eighth overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, Hill has career averages of 5.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in four seasons in the league.

The newest addition to Arizona’s NBA lineage, Solomon Hill has played in all six of the Indiana Pacers’ preseason games with averages of 2.0 points and 1.8 rebounds. The Los Angeles native was the 23rd overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.

Recently, ESPN ranked Arizona sixth among all college programs in terms of producing top NBA talent over the last two-plus decades.

UA players have been far from content by just hearing their names called on draft night, however. As has been reported by various media outlets, the fraternity of Arizona’s NBA players is nearing the collective $1 billion mark in career earnings, with the total haul set to exceed $960 million in the upcoming season.

Collectively, the Wildcat players who have been drafted since 1988 are an accomplished group, having won 13 NBA championships and made six All-Star appearances. The group also boasts a Rookie of the Year (Damon Stoudamire), a Sixth Man of the Year (Jason Terry) and a Most Improved Player (Gilbert Arenas).
