Coaches and players on the Arizona women’s basketball team took some time out on Monday to visit the Diamond Children’s Hospital in Tucson.
“It was great for us to be able to take some time away and help cheer up some local patients,” freshman LaBrittney Jones said. “It brought some perspective to life outside of basketball.”
Head Coach Niya Butts arranged the visit in between a stretch where the Wildcats played three games in five days.
“This gave us a chance to give back to those who are less fortunate than we are,” Butts said. “I think it was a great experience for both our staff and our players.”
