TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona women’s basketball (5-22, 1-15) will wrap up its regular season in Oregon this weekend to take on Oregon State (19-9, 11-5) on Friday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. PT and Oregon (13-14, 4-12) on Sunday, March 2 at 1 p.m. Sunday’s game will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks.
Earlier in the season, the Wildcats fell to Oregon, 84-72, and Oregon State, 64-50 at home.
UA is coming off a pair of losses by a combined 10 points to Utah and Colorado. Arizona fell to Colorado, 61-56 in overtime. Freshman LaBrittney Jones scored in double-figures and led the team in rebounding in both games.
OSU is led by three players averaging in double-digits, including sophomore Jamie Weisner at 13.8 points per game, freshman Sydney Wiese at 13.5 ppg and sophomore Ruth Hamblin at 10.0 ppg. Hamblin also leads the team in rebounding at 8.7 rpg.
The Beavers have won nine of their last 10 games, only falling to Arizona State on January 31.
Oregon is led by freshman Chrishae Rowe and sophomore Jillian Alleyne. Rowe averages 21.8 ppg, while Alleyne averages 21.4 ppg and a nation-high 15.7 rpg. Junior Katelyn Loper and senior Ariel Thomas also average double-digit scoring numbers with 13.7 and 12.2 ppg, respectively.
The Ducks have lost five-straight games and will play Arizona State on Friday night.
