What is your favorite part about playing volleyball at Arizona?
“I don’t know where to start. It has to be the community aspect how so many people come out and support our games. The team is very close, we’re like a family.”
Why did you decide to come to Arizona?
“I really clicked with Steve (Walker) and Claire (D’Amore) and they want to do what I want to do. It just worked out for me.”
How do you think the season has been going so far?
“It’s been going really well for a first year program. We have rallied against some of the bigger schools like USC and we went to Hawaii and we showed other schools that we can play with them.”
What’s your most memorable moment of the season so far?
“Hawaii. It was really fun to start playing games since fall was all training and now we get to show other schools what we’re about. All my friends who go to other schools got to see how Arizona sand volleyball does it.”
Why does the sport of sand volleyball suit your personality?
“I’m very shy but when I’m playing everything comes out so you get to see who I really am when I play.”
How special is it to you to be able to say you were a part of the first ever sand volleyball team?
“I’m stoked, it’s amazing. We always joke that 50 years from now we’re going to be the black and white pictures in McKale of the first sand volleyball team at this school.”
What do you do in your free time?
“I love going to the beach when I’m home. I also like hanging out with my friends and seeing movies.”
Do you have any pregame rituals?
“I watch the movie Miracle every single time before a game.”
