2013 Cross Country Schedule Announced

TUCSON - The University of Arizona Wildcat men's and women's cross country program announced their schedule for the upcoming 2013 season.

Head coach James Li and assistant coach Maureen Huber will look to duplicate another successful season after the women took sixth place at the NCAA Championships in 2012 while the men had two finishers in the top three places. The student-athletes will kick off the season at the George Kyte Classic on Sat., Sept. 7. That meet is hosted by Northern Arizona University and will take place in Flagstaff, Ariz. The team will resume action on Fri., Sept. 20 in Tucson when Arizona will host the Dave Murray Invitational. The next weekend, UA will trek to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Griak Invitational. That meet will take place on Sat., Sept. 28. The Wildcats will have some time off before returning to action on Sat. Oct. 12 at the Thunderbird Cross Country Classic in Mesa, Ariz. The following weekend, Arizona will compete in the Wisconsin Invitational on Sat., Oct. 19 in Madison, Wisc.

Next up for the Wildcats will be the Pac-12 Championship on Nov. 2 hosted by Colorado University in Boulder, Colo. The NCAA West Regionals will take place on Fri., Nov. 15 in Sacramento, Calif. The final meet of the 2013 season will be the NCAA Championships on Sat., Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Ind.
