Perform with Arizona Cheer at Football Halftime!    
 
September 5:
Join Arizona Cheer & Mascots for a special youth halftime performance at Arizona Football vs. Northern Arizona!

Open to participants ages 5 through middle school. Spots are limited and this event sells out early.

Cheer Fest is the only Arizona Cheer clinic dedicated specifically to elementary and middle school participants. The event programming, instruction, and halftime choreography are geared toward younger athletes and focus on foundational cheer skills in a fun, age-appropriate environment. High school athletes and teams should contact Head Coach Vanessa Romeo for information about clinics and other opportunities offered for their age group.

What's Included

A note about the choreography: The halftime performance routine is designed primarily for elementary and middle school participants. Choreography is intended to be fun, age-appropriate, and easy to learn for a wide range of experience levels.

Registration & Ticket Information
All guests ages 2+ must have a game ticket to enter Casino Del Sol Stadium. 
  • Complete registration and payment online through the FEVO link.
  • Additional game tickets and t-shirts are available as optional ad-ons in FEVO for $24 each.
  • The Ticket Office will assign seating by team/performer and email mobile tickets in mid-August.
  • Group seating will be located in Section 17, with overflow seating assigned as needed.
  • ADA seating is extremely limited. Please contact Rob Doerger at 520-621-8676 as soon as possible to inquire about availability.

Required Chaperone Information
All youth participants must have a registered coach or adult chaperone (18+) present during all Cheer Fest activities. Individual participants must be accompanied by a registered parent/chaperone, and teams must provide enough registered coaches/chaperones to meet University supervision requirements. 
 
Registered coaches/adult chaperones receive:
  • Performance T-shirt (field access pass)
  • Game ticket

University Policy: Adult Supervision Requirement for Youth Participants
To ensure the safety and supervision of all participants, youth participants must be accompanied by a registered coach or adult chaperone (18+) at all Cheer Fest activities, including the instructional clinic, gameday morning practice, Arizona Football game vs. NAU, and halftime performance. 
 
Participants registered as Individual Performers (not part of a team) must have a parent/guardian or registered adult chaperone (18+) accompany them to all Cheer Fest events.

Teams must provide enough registered coaches/chaperones to meet the following University-required supervision ratios. 
  • 5 years old: 1 adult/coach for every 6 cheerleaders (1:6)
  • 6-8 years old: 1 adult/coach for every 8 cheerleaders (1:8)
  • 9-14 years old: 1 adult/coach for every 10 cheerleaders (1:10)

FALL CHEER CLINIC 2026

Join the Arizona Cheerleaders and Coaching Staff for our Fall Clinic! This clinic offers a low-stress opportunity to meet the team, learn from current members, and hear about student-athlete benefits such as team travel, Nike gear, and more.

  • This clinic is open to current college students, HS juniors, and HS seniors.
  • Participants will have the opportunity to work on coed partner stunts and Arizona's gameday style with other cheer candidates in preparation for tryouts.
  • Tumbling will not be formally instructed; however, participants are encouraged to demonstrate skills they currently have. 
  • A student first responder will be on site to provide water, ice, and taping as needed.
  • What to Bring/Wear: Water bottle, T-shirt, sports bra, spandex with shorts, Arizona colors or neutral preferred, hair pulled back half-up or ponytail with bow (NO crop tops, spandex shorts only or sports bras only).

FUTURE SPIRIT OF ARIZONA WEEKEND 2027

Spring 2027 weekend dates and registration coming soon (typically Jan–Feb).

Registration Information
We can’t wait to welcome high school and college students to Tucson for Future Spirit of Arizona Weekend, where you’ll experience all aspects of University of Arizona Cheer alongside our current team members. All participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice partner stunts in our coed-focused clinic! This clinic is highly recommended for those that want to try out for Arizona Cheerleading.

  • This clinic is open to current college students and all high school grades.
  • Participant Cost: TBD (includes clinic sessions, t-shirt, and game ticket to our halftime performance)
  • Male bases participate free of charge; however, additional tickets and T-shirts must be purchased separately.
  • Additional game tickets and T-shirts may be purchased separately (price TBD). All payments are non-refundable.

Tentative Weekend Schedule
If there is a session you can’t attend, there will be a spot to indicate on the registration form.

Day 1:
Campus & Athletics Experience
Campus & athletics facilities tours, team Q&A, presentations from support staff (strength coach, athletic trainer, admissions, etc.)

College Gameday Experience & Halftime Performance
Attend team's warm-up and halftime performance at Women’s Basketball game (Includes t-shirt and game ticket)


Day 2: 
College Cheer & Partner Stunt Clinic
  • Hands-on instruction in coed partner stunts, Arizona's gameday style, and Musical Freestyle.
  • Tumbling will not be formally instructed; however, participants are encouraged to demonstrate skills they currently have. 
  • A student first responder will be on site to provide water, ice, and taping as needed.
  • What to Bring/Wear: Water bottle, T-shirt, sports bra, spandex with shorts, Arizona colors or neutral preferred, hair pulled back half-up or ponytail with bow (NO crop tops, spandex shorts only or sports bras only).

SPRING TRYOUT PREP CLINIC 2027

Registration Information
This clinic is highly recommended for students interested in trying out in the spring for the 2027-2028 Arizona Cheerleading Team. Participants will have the opportunity to work on coed partner stunts and Arizona's gameday style with other cheer candidates in preparation for tryouts.

  • This clinic is open to current UA students, and college transfers/ HS seniors already accepted to Arizona for Fall 2027. To participate, must provide acceptance letter (incoming students) or enrollment verification (current students).
  • Tumbling will not be formally instructed; however, participants are encouraged to demonstrate skills they currently have. 
  • A student first responder will be on site to provide water, ice, and taping as needed.
  • What to Bring/Wear: Water bottle, T-shirt, sports bra, spandex with shorts, Arizona colors or neutral preferred, hair pulled back half-up or ponytail with bow (NO crop tops, spandex shorts only or sports bras only).

To participate, you must upload ONE of the following documents as verification of being a 'tryout eligible' student:
  1. Current UA students:  UA Enrollment Verification (view in UACCESS > Academic Record tab)
  2. College Transfer (or) HS Seniors:  UA Acceptance Letter for Fall 2027
