Christine In-Albon earned her Master's of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona. She then taught at the college level before helping to form then Coastal Conservation Foundation. After six years working in animal conservation in Mexico, she headed to Prescott College where she completed her teacher training.
Since 1997, Ms. In-Albon has been teaching in the Vail School District. She currently teaches science and gifted enrichment at Empire High School, as well as administers the gifted program for the entire district. Leading District in-services on scientific inquiry and integrated curriculum enables Christine to not only actively improve her teaching style, but also provide teachers with various tools to use in their classrooms.
As the gifted learning coordinator, Christine established and manages a Writing Lab at Empire High School that utilizes highly skilled seniors to mentor other students in the writing process. She further sponsors MOVE, a club at Empire focusing on community service and promoting change locally. Christine also helps AP Environmental Science students involved in conservation of endangered leopard frogs in the Cienega Creek watershed, working with the Frog Conservation Group, Cienega Watershed Partnership and Bureau of Land Management.
