Kevin Kehl
Palo Verde Magnet High School
Kevin Kehl obtained his Bachelor's degree as well as his Master's degree in General Biology from the University of Arizona.  In the summer of 2009, he also completed a biotechnology program to receive a Career and Technical Education certificate.
Kevin was hired to teach at Palo Verde Magnet High School in 1997 and has continued to teach there for the past twelve years.  He has taught Human Biology, Plant and Animal Biology, and Biotechnology at Palo Verde.  His teaching methods consist of trying to make the content relatable to students' lives using lots of analogies to teach difficult concepts.  He feels humor is a key element, although he is a stickler for rules and meeting expectations, he has learned not to take things too seriously, making himself more accessible to students.
At school Kevin serves as a partner teacher for BioME fellow and CATTS fellow, Club Advisor for Health Occupations Students of America, and as a student mentor.  In the community he has participated with Wetland Habitat, SeaCamp in San Diego, the DNA Shoah Project, "The Annealing Project: Coming Together, Getting Stronger" and as a volunteer Youth Group Leader for 10 years.
