th place at the NCAA Regionals in the Bryan, Texas Regional finishing the tournament at 2-over-par, where Arizona qualified for the NCAA Championships.
We had Stoll take us through her career:
Favorite club: Driver. "My favorite club is my driver because I feel it is one of the strongest clubs in my bag."
Most memorable shot: "The most memorable shot I've ever hit was during the 2014 LPGA Portland Classic. I needed to birdie the 18th hole to make the cut and I hit a perfect seven iron out of a divot to within two feet from the pin, and made the cut to play on the weekend." Stoll finished the tournament at one-under par with rounds of 71, 74, 71, and 71. She had the best score of any amateur in the tournament.
Favorite course: "Portland Golf Club, my home course in Oregon because the course is beautiful and so much fun to play." Portland Golf Club has hosted many prestigious events such as the 1947 Ryder Cup, 1982 Senior Open, and 2015 U.S. Women's Amateur.
Biggest Golf Influence: "My biggest influence in golf has definitely been my dad. He's helped me learn so much about the game and push me through the highs and the lows."
Best memory on a golf course: "My best memory as an individual player was qualifying for the 2012 U.S. Women's Open by shooting a 67 in the final round, making seven birdies in eight holes." Stoll qualified for the U.S. Open incredibly as only a freshman in high school. She won the qualifier with a score of two-under-par at Half Moon Bay GC in Moon Bay, Calif. The 2012 US Women's Open was played at Blackwolf Run in Kohler, Wis. The now graduated
Lindsey Weaver also participated in the tournament.
Goals for this season: "This season I strive to have a strong spring as an individual and as a team. I hope to lower my scoring average and improve my short game."
